Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Quality Advisor who is excited about making a difference in patient safety outcomes. As the Pediatric Quality Advisor, you will work closely with a diverse group of medical professionals acting as a liaison to the medical staff peer review committee. With a keen eye for details, you will perform chart reviews for cases involving but not limited to mortality and morbidity, hospital acquired conditions and patient safety indicators. Your proactive approach will support hospital-wide initiatives for regulatory and accreditation processes to continuously improve our operations. With your expertise, you will develop and implement effective quality strategies, provide guidance to our Pediatric team members and champion best practices throughout the organization.

Essential Functions:
Works in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in reviewing all patients with high end devices and provides quality review.
Leads and participates in process improvement for the program(s) and for the quality of clinical outcomes.
Maintain database(s) for patients, outcome, and complications and submit to national registry as required
Provide comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of temporary devices enabling staff to deliver safe and positive patient outcomes Maintains files, minutes, and quality presentations in accordance with any regulatory
requirements
Refers to other disciplines as appropriate. Integrates research based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision making.
Exemplifies a professional image in appearance, manner and presentation.
Advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community.
Maintains certifications and continuing education as required for licensure
Participates in unit/departmental/divisional or hospital committees/task forces as appropriate.
Assists the critical care educator in developing programs to meet continuing education needs
