We are looking for a legal assistant/paralegal.
Boutique Personal Injury Reno/Elko/Las Vegas firm has an immediate need for an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal with at least 2 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury and/or bodily injury insurance adjuster experience to join our team.
Job Duties:
• Handling cases from intake through settlement including pre-litigation duties;
• Drafting complex demand letters and medical record summaries;
• Drafting letters of representation;
• Collecting, organizing, and Bates stamping medical records and bills;
• Tracking subrogation liens;
• Assist in drafting mediation and arbitration briefs;
• Assist with drafting pleadings (complaints, discovery requests and responses, minors comp petitions, trial statements, motions, etc.);
• Managing docketing calendar;
• Running point on communication with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel; and
• Managing client files.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years plaintiff personal injury or insurance bodily injury adjuster experience;
• Proficient on Word, Outlook Calendar, Adobe Pro, and Dropbox;
• General understanding the pre-litigation and litigation process; and
• General understanding of e-filing process in both federal and state courts.
The position is between 25-40 hours per week with flexible hours.
Compensation: $25 - $35/hour depending on experience.
