Join Our Team as a Paralegal!

We are a small, client-focused law firm seeking a skilled and dependable Paralegal to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit, professional environment and has a strong background in legal administrative support, particularly in the areas of probate and trust administration , estate planning , and asset protection planning for nursing home residents.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Paralegal, you will:

• Administer estates through probate, including knowledge of probate procedures, timelines, and forms.
• Prepare and manage legal documents related to the administration of decedent’s estates.
• Draft estate planning documents such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
• Assist with Medicaid planning and complete applications for Medicaid.
• Maintain accurate records, correspondence, and client files.
• Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and government agencies in a professional and timely manner.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you need:

• 5+ years of experience working in a law office (required)
• Experience with probate, trust administration, and estate planning (required)
• Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies (strongly preferred)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (knowledge of Estate Assist is a plus)
