Title: Electrical Engineer

Industry: Pulp/Paper Manufacturing

Location: Natchez MS

Base Salary: $100,000- $125,000

Summary:

We're currently partnered with a leading recycled paper manufacturer looking expand its team of Electrical Engineers! As an Electrical Engineer, you'll to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems in their state-of-the-art pulp and paper mill. In this role, you'll collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance, minimize downtime, and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, motors, drives, switch gear, transformers, and power distribution.
• Support and maintain PLC/DCS control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell).
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Work closely with operations to optimize power consumption and electrical efficiency.
• Assist with automation and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Lead or support capital projects, system upgrades, and new installations.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry best practices.
• Conduct arc flash analysis and electrical safety training.
• Maintain accurate schematics, documentation, and compliance records.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment (pulp & paper preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and motor controls.
• Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and energy efficiency improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
